Our agents speak English, Hindi and Punjabi, which matters more than it might sound. Migration matters involve explaining unfamiliar legal concepts to people making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Being able to do that in someone’s first language changes how well they understand their own case.

Amanpreet founded Bullseye Consultant and leads the practice. She has been a registered migration agent for over a decade, which puts her among the more experienced agents practising in Brisbane.

Every matter has a responsible agent. You know who is handling your file and you deal with that person, not with whoever picks up the phone.

Complex matters are supervised by the Principal Migration Agent. Our newer agents work under Amanpreet’s supervision, and matters involving refusals, waivers, character issues or Tribunal reviews are reviewed by her before anything is lodged. That’s a deliberate structure. It’s how most professional practices are organised, and it means you get an experienced set of eyes on the parts of a file that carry the most risk.

Advice gets put in writing. If we tell you something material about your prospects or your options, you get it in writing rather than only in a meeting. Migration matters run for months and memories of a conversation drift.

You get a costs agreement before work starts. That’s a Code of Conduct requirement, not a courtesy we’re extending.

We’d rather you verified this than took our word for it.

1. Go to mara.gov.au and open the Register of Migration Agents.
2. Search by name, by MARN, or by business name.
3. Confirm the registration status shows as current.
4. Confirm the name on the register matches the person you’ll actually be dealing with.
5. Look at the disciplinary history section.

Step four catches more problems in this industry than the other four combined. Some businesses advertise a registered agent’s name while unregistered staff do the work. If you’re ever unsure who is actually preparing your application, ask directly and ask for their MARN.

Anyone who gets evasive about that question has answered it.
