With this visa, the applicant and their dependent family member get to live in Australia as a permanent resident and can work and study too.

Living as permanent residents in Australia the 858 Distinguished talent visa holders can work, study, receive subsidised health care benefits and many other benefits too. Other than these benefits, the visa holders are also eligible for applying for Australian citizenship and can even sponsor people for permanent residence.

    • Nominator must know you personally and must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia, an eligible citizen of New Zealand or an Australian organisation.
    • The applicant must be presently active in the field of their expertise and must have a complete record of their exceptional achievements. In order to qualify for a distinguished talent visa.

    • Being the visa holder of a Distinguished Talent Visa 858, you may have a limitation that prevents you from applying for any other visa.
    • The 18 years and above applicants can include a partner who can be their spouse or de facto relationship partner, your/partner’s dependent children or other dependent relatives living with you. The under 18 applicants can bring along parents and partners of parents as well.
